Daylight support
Help with your menu bar calendar. No account is needed.
Contact
Email [email protected] with your app version, macOS version, and a short description of the issue. Please leave private diary entries and calendar details out of your message.
Find the calendar
After launching Daylight, click its date or moon icon in the menu bar. The app does not open a Dock window. Use the gear button to open Settings.
Lunar dates and solar terms
Enable lunar dates in Settings for your chosen Luna or Sol layout. Solar-term artwork appears beside the moon phase on solar-term dates when lunar dates are enabled.
Mainland China adjusted workdays
In holiday subscriptions, enable Mainland China and refresh the subscription. Adjusted workdays have a workday badge and a matching detail label, even with lunar dates off. Version 2.0.1 adds this support.
Calendar access and location
System calendar access is optional and read-only. Location is optional and used only to calculate the 3D moon view on your Mac. Change permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Updates and diary backup
The website edition checks for updates in the app; the Mac App Store edition updates through the App Store. Export your diary from Settings before moving to another Mac or switching editions. The two editions keep separate local storage.
